My undergraduate Occupational Therapy Education is from the School of Social Studies in Lausanne, Swizerland. I then obtained a Masters in OT at Tufts University, Boston, and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology at the University of Minnesota. My specialty area is gerontology for research, teaching and community service. Overall, I'm interested in issues of mobility and health. One of my areas of current interest is driving, community mobility and transportation issues for older adults. I also am conducting research in personal mobility such as the benefits of dance for quality of life in elders. Finally I am also researching adaptation following relocation and immigration. In all those instances I'm particularily intersted in translating the research in community educational curricula to benefit health, safety and well-being. I have taught a number of courses ove the years including research methods, kinesiology and geriatrics. Currently I teach neuroscience and occupational therapy for older adults courses in addition to a masters project course on community mobility.
