I have always had a strong interest in teaching and spent the majority of my career in nursing education. I've taught primarily at the senior level in baccalaureate nursing programs at Gustavus Adolphus College, Mankato State University and St. Catherine University. In addition, I have taught nursing theory and clinical in the areas of public health nursing, pediatric nursing, leadership and other nursing concepts courses. I've been teaching full time in the RN to baccalaureate program at St. Kate’s since 2007.
My special interests are RN to baccalaureate education, teaching adult learners, public health nursing, school nursing and children’s health. I served in leadership roles as the co-chair of the Committee on Faculty in the Department of Nursing. I am currently a mentor for new nursing faculty. In addition, I'm is serving on the Curriculum Committee in the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health.
