Lindsey Barton (Senior) and Molly Lovstad (Senior) are collaborating on the second phase of KidCarry in summer 2012.
Alex Kennedy (Sophomore) joined the KidCarry team in Fall 2011, and will continue collaboration in Fall 2012.
KidCarry collaborator Alice Fasnacht will begin the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at St Catherine University in Fall 2012.
KidCarry collaborator Anna Myhre (Phi Beta Kappa, graduated May 2012) will start law school at the William Mitchell College of Law in Fall 2012.
KidCarry collaborator Quinn Halverson (Phi Beta Kappa, graduated salutatorian December 2011) will start medical school at Oregon Health and Science University in Fall 2012.
Hot Babies and KidCarry collaborator Kelsey Boeff (graduated May 2011) took an exciting job at NOAA and, in Fall 2012, will begin a MSc degree program in Quaternary and Climate Studies at the University of Maine.
Laura Stearns (graduated May 2011) completed her Honors Thesis based on work that was part of our KidCarry research project: "Can Differences in Strength Explain Observed Child Carrying Behavior in Men and Women?" In Fall 2012, Laura will begin medical school at the College for Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University.
Alice Fasnacht presented a poster on the KidCarry study at the 2012 American College of Sports Medicine meetings in San Francisco.
Three students from my lab -- Melvina Kpanquoi, Anna Myhre, and Laura Stearns -- presented their work at the 2011 NCUR Conference in Ithaca, NY as well as at the Undergraduate Symposium of the 2011 American Association of Physical Anthropologists national meeting.
