A native of Minneapolis, Sarah received her B.A. in Sociology from Beloit College (Beloit, Wisconsin) in May 1996. After a stint in the private sector, she returned to school and obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from North Hennepin Community College in May 2004. Sarah worked at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) on the Cardiac and Renal and the New Born Intensive Care units. While at HCMC, Sarah continued her education by completing her post-baccalaureate certificate in Nursing at the former College of St. Catherine. In October 2006 she began teaching nursing at St. Catherine in the Associate Degree Nursing program on the Minneapolis campus. In May 2011 Sarah completed the Master of Arts in the Nurse Educator Concentration at St. Catherine University. She taught Variations in Health I, II, III and IV in both the day and evening sections. She has held several leadership roles within the Associate Degree program, and is currently the Program Director of the Associate/Dual Degree Program. Sarah will obtain her Doctorate of Philosophy Nursing from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2017.
