Sarah received her bachelors of arts in Sociology from Beloit College in May of 1996. After 5 years in the working world Sarah returned to school to become a nurse. She received her associate degree in nursing from North Hennepin Community College in May of 2004. Sarah worked at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) on the Cardiac and Renal unit and then the New Born Intensive Care unit. While working at HCMC Sarah continued her education by completing her post-baccalaureate certificate in nursing at the former College of St. Catherine. In October of 2006 Sarah began teaching nursing at St. Catherine's in the Associate Degree Nursing program on the Minneapolis campus. In the May of 2011 Sarah completed her Masters of Arts in the Nurse Educator Concentration at St. Catherine University.
Currently Sarah teaches in the evening/weekend section of the associate degree nursing program. She has taught Variations in Health I, II, III and IV as well as teaching that same content in our LPN mobility section. She is currently a Co-chair for the Committee on Students in the associate degree nursing program. Sarah also works as the department assessment lead for the program. She also holds the position of evening/weekend section coordinator.
