Special Housing Needs
If you have a disability or medical issue that requires special housing needs in the 2009-10 academic year, please have your physician complete the Verification of Medical Accommodation Form and return it to Residence Life by noon Tuesday, March 31, for returning students and April 30 for new students.
The Process
We will review the recommendations and consult the Disabilities Coordinator in the O'Neill Center, if needed.
Current students whose requests have been approved will be contacted to select specific accommodations.
New First Year and Transfer students with approved requests will receive a housing assignment packet mailed to their home address in early July.
Reapplying
If you have already completed a Medical Accommodation Form and have it on file in the O'Neill Center, you will need to have your physician complete the last page of the
Residence Life Medical Accommodation Form and sign a release of information in the O'Neill Center to allow the director of residence life to review the remainder of the form.
ADA Housing Options
There is one completely ADA-accessible room with accessible bathroom in our first-year housing, one partially accessible room in
Caecilian Hall and one completely ADA-accessible unit in our Georgia Apartments. There are four ADA-accessible rooms in
Morrison Hall and four in
Rauenhorst Hall. Single rooms are available in all buildings for ADA-accommodation housing.
