Welcome Resident Students! Fall move-in is approaching fast. Rather than overwhelm you with lots of handouts and papers at check-in, here's all the information you need for Move-In 2008.

Sunday, August 31



First Year Student Check-In
8:00am-1:00pm
Coeur de Catherine, 3rd Floor Atrium
Parking and Unloading Information

Be sure to arrive before 1:00pm on Sunday so that you may attend Orientation activities.

Upper Class Student Check-In
1:30pm-7:30pm
Transfer and returning students should check-in at their individual residence hall or apartment building. Upper class students will not be able to access their building/room before 1:30pm.

First year students should check-in at the St. Mary Hall reception desk
Upper class students should check-in at the Visitation Commons reception desk.

Upper student checking in after 7:30PM must go to Public Safety to have their ID card encoded to access their residence hall building. Residents arriving after 11pm will not have access to their space.

Monday, Sept 1


10:00am-5:00pm
All students should check-in at the Residence Life Office in room 450 Coeur de Catherine.
5:00-11:00pm
First year students should check-in at the St. Mary Hall reception desk
Upper class students should check-in at the Visitation Commons reception desk.

Early Arrivals


Requests to move on campus earlier than August 31 for college-related business must be sent in writing by a supervisor or college employee to residencelife@stkate.edu by August 4. We cannot accommodate early arrivals prior to August 23 and a $15 per night charge may apply. Please have the supervisor or college employee making the request include your cell phone number so our staff may contact you.

Please complete the following tasks before arriving to campus:
  1. Fill out the on-line Emergency Contact Form.
  2. Read the Residence Life Guidebook.
  3. Review the Important Housing Dates for 2008-09.

What to Bring to College
A list of items you may want to bring with you, and a list of items you should leave at home. This PDF also includes basic computer and network set-up information.

Refrigerator and Microwave Rental
Order and pay online by August 21st for free in-room delivery! BedLoft.com - Collegiate Fridge offers refrigerators and combination units with fridge and microwave. If you live in Morrison or Rauenhorst, a refrigerator and microwave are provided by the college. If you live in St. Mary, Stanton, Crandall, Whitby, or Caecilian you may use the combination refrigerator and microwave unit provided by Collegiate Fridge. Otherwise, in these buildings, other microwaves are not allowed. Please refer to the Guidebook for more information.

Meal plans begin at 4:30pm on Tuesday, September 2. Students attending Orientation will receive meals as part of the program.
