First-Year Communities



French and Spanish
Stanton/Crandall Hall
Learn about the beautiful cultures of French and Spanish-speaking countries. Strengthen your language skills, and connect with other students who are committed to building community. Language Assistant from French and Spanish speaking countries live in the community to provide assistance with course work and additional cultural programming. This floor is open to all first-year students. You do not need to speak French or Spanish to live on the floor, and you do not need to be enrolled in a French or Spanish course.

Page Turners Book Club
St. Mary Hall
There’s always time to read for fun! Share and discuss your favorite books. Find new literature for your must- read list. Residents on this floor will decide which books to read and discuss. Possible activities include book discussions, viewing movie adaptations, faculty and student discussions, writing competitions and more. Pure enjoyment with education on-the-side!

Theme Housing is a student-driven initiative. Residents living in Theme Housing are expected to participate in activities and meetings. To sign-up simply visit the My Housing link. As you fill-out the 2009-10 Housing & Dining Agreement you will be prompted to select a Theme Housing Floor. If you have already completed your agreement and did not select a theme floor, you can still change your preferences through My Housing or contact our office. We’d be happy to sign you up!

Are you pursuing studies in a healthcare related field or are you interested in overall wellness? Build community with other students that have a passion for health and wellness. Participate in fun activities on and off-campus. Collaborate with other students through study groups, discussions, and activities. All students are invited to participate!

Sisters in Faith: Catholic Interest
Whitby Hall, 4th Floor
The mission of the Sisters in Faith: Catholic Interest Floor is to provide an environment in which resident students may explore, strengthen, and celebrate their Catholic identities and spirituality. The floor strives to foster an environment in which women committed to their faith are surrounded by support and able to live a balanced, faith-filled life at St. Catherine University. The floor will be first and foremost a safe, inclusive environment for all students to actively engage in, regardless of faith background.

Antonian Honors Learning Community
Whitby Hall, 4th Floor
Participate in educational and social programs that support your participation in the Antonian Honors Program. Connect with other honor students who are committed to building community. All official Antonian Honor students are invited to live on the Honors Floor.
