I have a friend who is also coming to St. Kate’s. Can she live in the same room with me?

Yes. You and your friend may select your room on-line together. Look for more information about this in December.

I don’t have a roommate in mind. How do you assign roommates?

On the Housing and Dining Agreement, we ask you questions about your tastes and preferences. This helps us match up roommates. However, we encourage students to use Roommate Finder. Roommate Finder is an on-line roommate matching service that puts you in direct control of selecting a roommate. New students will receive a letter about Roommate Finder after being accepted to the university. Returning students should contact our office regarding questions about accessing Roommate Finder.

Are the residence hall rooms air-conditioned?

Air-conditioned buildings include the Alberta and Georgia Apartments, Susan Schmid Morrison Hall and Henrietta Schmoll Rauenhorst Hall. In all other buildings we suggest bringing a small fan.

When will I be able to know what my housing assignment is for the fall?

This spring Residence Life will unveil new software called Room Management System (RMS). This new software will allow new and returning students to self-select their room on-line from the comfort of home. Students will receive their housing assignment instantly. Look for more information about RMS in December. Otherwise, students who wish our department to assign them a space will receive their housing assignment packet in early August.
