Application of Science and Technology to Broader Societal Issues
The Center fosters and facilitates interactions between faculty, students and staff to explore issues related to science and technology from multiple perspectives. By encouraging the application of science and technology to broader societal issues, the Center promotes women’s leadership in societal issues related to technology.

- WARIE: Women As Researchers In Environments
- Carmen Pampa information system for nursing students
Areas of Interest
- Sections of Global Search for Justice (GSJ) that address issues that relate to access and application of science and technology. These can include but are not limited to questions such as: How are technologies impacting people’s lives and how can technologies positively shape communities?
- Connections with other disciplines or Centers of Excellence such as an interdisciplinary approach on women and eating disorders, societal spirituality and the Internet age, and engineering a healthier life
