Science Saturday 2005
Science Saturday 2005 attracted 200 girls and 90 adults to campus on March 4 for a morning of hands-on activities designed to make science a fun part of their lives. There were twelve workshop options for the 4th-8th grade girls, half taught by CSC faculty and half by our community partners. All dealt with activities related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The Education department arranged a panel discussion and activities for the adults. 57 CSC students were employed for the event, providing the girls with college role models in STEM areas.
The next Science Saturday will take place on March 10th, 2007. For more information, click on the 2007 event or call the Centers of Excellence at (651) 690-8847.
