What is Shout Out?
Shout Out is a special day to show how proud we are of St. Catherine University. The second annual Shout Out is Thursday, March 7, 2013, a tradition we hope continues for years to come.
The idea was conceived in 2011 by St. Catherine Vice President for External Relations Marjorie Mathison Hance ’70 (now retired). The goal is to help boost St. Kate's reputation from “strong but quiet to vibrant and well known.”
What does that mean for alumnae and students to raise St. Kate's visibilty?
- The value of your degree could carry more prestige with future employers.
- You’ll learn how to be a true “brand ambassador” for a place that shaped your life.
- You will help people understand we’re a vibrant university that includes the nation's largest college for women and so much more, such as 12 master’s degrees and clinical doctorate programs.
Everyone jumped on the bandwagon for the first Shout Out St. Kate’s Day in 2012! Start brainstorming ways you can Shout Out about St. Catherine University — to your employer and colleagues, a neighbor, a church group, a book club or a high school scholar. Here are just a few ways to participate »
We encourage you to Shout Out St. Kate’s all year-round.
Be Loud. Be Proud. Be a Katie!
