World Health Organization
The World Health Organization is the United Nations specialized agency for health. It was established on 7 April 1948. WHO's objective, as set out in its Constitution, is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. Health is defined in WHO's Constitution as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) of the World Health Organization
ICF is a classification of health and health related domains that describe body functions and structures, activities and participation. The domains are classified from body, individual and societal perspectives. Since an individual's functioning and disability occurs in a context, ICF also includes a list of environmental factors.
Minnesota International Health Volunteers (MIHV) Events
Since 1979, MIHV has been working to improve the health of women, children, and communities internationally and domestically by working on health and child survival issues.
