Requests for Sponsorship of Activity
The Center of Excellence for Women and Health will consider applications from the college community to support and/or sponsor activities that are generally not part of COE grants but are related to the mission and objectives of this Center and the six educational goals of the Centers of Excellence. Support/sponsorship by the COE - Women and Health may include: consultation; public relations, and funding. Funding is limited for sponsored activities and thus, applicants are also encouraged to explore other internal and external sources of finanicial support for their activities.
The six educational goals of the Centers of Excellence are:
• Reach across academic disciplines (interdisciplinary)
• Engage faculty and students in collaborative work
• Include diverse participants and perspectives
• Involve active, participatory approaches (learner-centered)
• Work with community partners
• Conduct research that pursues understanding and change (action research)
