Amy Heinz, MA, OTR/L, CLCP is the Program Director and Associate Professor in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program on the Minneapolis campus. She earned her master's degree in organizational leadership from St. Catherine University, and she received her BA in occupational therapy from the University of St. Thomas (certificate with St. Catherine University). In 2002, Amy completed her life coaching certification from Learning Journey's International Center for Coaching.
In addition to her role as Program Director, Amy teaches in the introductory course, the course in group dynamics and leadership and courses related to adult rehabilitation.
Amy has practiced as an occupational therapist in a variety of adult physical disabilities settings including home care, long term and transitional care, as well as hospital settings including acute care and rehabilitation. Amy began teaching at St. Catherine University in 1999. She is an active MOTA and AOTA member. Her primary areas of professional interest include adult rehabilitation, leadership and followership, health promotion and wellness, and life coaching.
